Griddy Sports, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you access or use the Griddy mobile application (“App”).

2. Data Collection

We collect limited personal information solely for account access and gameplay functionality. Depending on how you choose to sign up or log in, we collect:

  • Phone number: If you sign up with your phone, we collect your number to send a one-time 6-digit login code.
  • Authentication credentials: If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Apple or Google, we collect authentication identifiers (e.g., a secure token or hashed ID) necessary to log you into your account.

We also collect:

  • Username: Required for your in-app profile, which you may change at any time.
  • Gameplay data: Includes drafted teams, scores, badges, leaderboards, achievements, and other in-app activity.
  • Device and usage data: Includes anonymized technical logs, crash reports (which may include device metadata), and performance metrics used to improve the App.

We do not collect personal data beyond what is required to operate and improve the App, unless voluntarily provided (e.g., through customer support).

2.1. Children’s Privacy:

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn a child has provided data without parental consent, we will promptly delete it. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us at support@griddy.cc.

3. Data Usage

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate and manage user accounts
  • Provide and improve core gameplay features
  • Personalize user experiences and progress tracking
  • Operate features like leaderboards, badges, profiles, and streaks

4. Virtual Items and Purchases

When you make in-app purchases, we collect information such as:

  • App Store or Google Play purchase receipts
  • Token balances and usage activity
  • Refund or dispute status, if applicable

All payments are processed via Apple or Google. We do not store or process full payment credentials. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion and are subject to platform policies.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to maintain your account, provide core gameplay features, improve our services, and meet any legal or compliance obligations.

You may delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion option or by contacting support@griddy.cc. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed from our systems, except where retention is required to:

  • Fulfill legal obligations
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Resolve disputes or enforce our Terms

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may request to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Update or correct information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Limit certain types of data usage, where applicable

7. User-Generated Data

Usernames, badges, and gameplay-related activity may be visible to others within the App. You are responsible for any content you create, and we reserve the right to remove content that violates our Community Standards or Terms of Service.

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of sensitive data in transit
  • Authentication controls and access restrictions
  • Regular audits and monitoring

However, no system is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

We comply with privacy laws such as:

  • CCPA (California)
  • COPPA (U.S. children’s data)

We may preserve or disclose user data if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to enforce our Terms, investigate violations, or protect our rights or the rights of others.
